EarlyXer.com is pleased to present our first celebrity interview featuring Jeff Gordinier. These interviews will allow you to get to know some of the most influential members of Generation X better - by hearing about some of their experiences while growing up in the 70's and 80's.

Jeff Gordinier is Editor-at-Large at Details magazine and the author of X Saves the World, which has just been released in paperback and which Fast Company named one of the 10 best books of 2008. He has written for a variety of publications, including The New York Times, Esquire, GQ, Elle, Spin, Fortune, the Los Angeles Times, PoetryFoundation.org, and Entertainment Weekly. His journalism has been included in anthologies such as Best American Nonrequired Reading 2005 and Best Creative Nonfiction Vol. 1.

X Saves the World takes a look at Generation X — that ornery, sarcastic, dark-horse demographic made up of Americans who were born in the '60s and '70s — and the surprising ways (from Nirvana to Google, from Quentin Tarantino to The Colbert Report to the presidency of Barack Obama) that the Gen-X sensibility has made an impact on our world.
