Michigan is one of the greatest states for sports with the wide variety of sports teams and the incredibly loyal fans.  Here are some teams that are no longer with us:

Detroit Express: The Express were a soccer team that played in the Pontiac Silverdome from 1978 - 1983.  They won the ASL league title in 1982.

Michigan Panthers: They were a charter member of the USFL in 1982.  They won the first USFL championship - Anthony Carter scoring the winning touchdown in the championship game.
